Cases and clients

Find a case, read its parties, court, status and history, and look up your clients.

Hearings and tasks

See what is listed this week, check a case's court status by CNR, and add tasks with due dates.

Drafts

Read your Draft Studio drafts, and save a draft Claude writes straight into Draft Studio.

Vault

Search your Vault and read the text of the files in it, so Claude can work from your own documents.

Case law and statutes

Search Supreme Court and High Court judgments, read them, and convert IPC, CrPC and IEA sections to the new codes.

Knowledge Base

Use your firm's saved knowledge, precedents and notes in the answer.

Set it up

Connect in about a minute.

You need a Xegality account and a Claude plan that lets you add custom connectors.

Claude on the web and Claude Desktop

  1. 1Open Claude and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. 2Click Add custom connector.
  3. 3Name it Xegality and paste the connector URL above.
  4. 4Click Add, then Connect.
  5. 5A Xegality page opens. Sign in if asked, check that it says Claude, and click Allow.
  6. 6In a chat, make sure Xegality is switched on in the tools menu, then ask your question.

Claude Team and Enterprise

On organisation plans an Owner adds the connector once, then each person connects their own Xegality account.

  1. 1An Owner opens Organization settings → Connectors, clicks Add custom connector and pastes the connector URL.
  2. 2Each member then opens Settings → Connectors, finds Xegality and clicks Connect.
  3. 3They sign in with their own Xegality account and click Allow. Everyone sees only their own work.

Claude on your phone

  1. 1Add and connect Xegality on the web or in Claude Desktop first (the steps above).
  2. 2Open the Claude app on iPhone or Android with the same Claude account. Xegality is already there in the tools menu.

Claude Code

In a terminal, add the server:

  1. 1Start Claude Code and type /mcp.
  2. 2Pick xegality and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens the Xegality sign-in.
  3. 3Click Allow and go back to the terminal.

Privacy and control

It acts as you

Claude sees only what your own Xegality account can see, with your firm's permissions and your plan's limits. It can't reach anyone else's work.

You allow each connection

Nothing connects until you sign in on a Xegality page and click Allow. We never see your Claude password, and Claude never sees your Xegality password.

Disconnect at any time

Settings → Connected apps lists every app you connected. Disconnect stops it working with your account straight away.

Know where the text goes

What Claude reads from Xegality, such as case details or document text, becomes part of your Claude conversation and is handled under your Claude account's terms. Share client material in line with your own confidentiality duties.

Something not working? Check that the URL is exactly the one above, then connect again. If Claude says your Xegality plan has ended, renew it in Pricing and the tools work again. Still stuck? Contact us.
