Cases and clients

Find a case, read its parties, court, status and history, and look up your clients.

Hearings and tasks

See what is listed this week, check a case's court status by CNR, and add tasks with due dates.

Drafts

Read your Draft Studio drafts, and save a draft ChatGPT writes straight into Draft Studio.

Vault

Search your Vault and read the text of the files in it, so ChatGPT can work from your own documents.

Case law and statutes

Search Supreme Court and High Court judgments, read them, and convert IPC, CrPC and IEA sections to the new codes.

Knowledge Base

Use your firm's saved knowledge, precedents and notes in the answer.

Set it up

Connect in about a minute.

You need a Xegality account and a ChatGPT plan that lets you add custom MCP servers.

ChatGPT on the web

  1. 1Open chatgpt.com/plugins, click + and choose Add custom MCP server.
  2. 2Name it Xegality and add a short description, such as “My cases, drafts and Indian case law”.
  3. 3Under Connection choose Public endpoint and paste the connector URL above.
  4. 4Choose OAuth for authentication, read the warning, click I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin.
  5. 5A Xegality page opens. Sign in if asked, check that it says ChatGPT, and click Allow.
  6. 6In a new chat type @, pick Xegality and ask your question.

ChatGPT Business and Enterprise

Your workspace admin decides whether members may add custom MCP servers.

  1. 1Ask your workspace admin to allow custom MCP servers, or to add Xegality for the workspace.
  2. 2Then follow the steps above. Each person signs in with their own Xegality account and sees only their own work.

Privacy and control

It acts as you

ChatGPT sees only what your own Xegality account can see, with your firm's permissions and your plan's limits. It can't reach anyone else's work.

You allow each connection

Nothing connects until you sign in on a Xegality page and click Allow. We never see your ChatGPT password, and ChatGPT never sees your Xegality password.

Disconnect at any time

Settings → Connected apps lists every app you connected. Disconnect stops it working with your account straight away.

Know where the text goes

What ChatGPT reads from Xegality, such as case details or document text, becomes part of your ChatGPT conversation and is handled under your OpenAI account's terms and settings. Share client material in line with your own confidentiality duties.

Something not working? Check that the URL is exactly the one above, then connect again. If ChatGPT says your Xegality plan has ended, renew it in Pricing and the tools work again. Still stuck? Contact us.
